Wolverines Add UMass Transfer Madaisky

ANN ARBOR, MI - University of Michigan Men's Lacrosse Head Coach John Paul announced the addition of close defender Aaron Madaisky (Surrey, B.C./Holy Cross) to the roster for the 2015 season. He joins the Wolverines with sophomore eligibility after starting 11 games for the University of Massachusetts as a true freshman.

A 6'7" longstick, the Canadian started the first 11 games of his collegiate career and compiled 15 ground balls and caused nine turnovers as a member of the Minutemen defensive unit. He collected a career high of three ground balls against No. 18 Albany on March 8.

"Aaron has the potential to make an immediate impact for us," said Paul of the team's most recent addition. "He is coming off a very strong freshman year at UMass. He is also a great student who I think will fit well into our team culture."

Prior to his stint in Amherst, Madaisky played club lacrosse for Burnaby Mountain Selects, where he played six seasons between 2008 and 2012.

Aaron is currently playing in the BCJALL with the New Westminster Salmonbellies were he played 12 games  recording 1 Goal, 5 Assists for 6 Points with only 2 Penalty Minutes. Madaisky and the 'Bellies currently have a 1-0 game lead on the Coquitlam Adanacs in the 2014 BCJALL Finals.
