TRADE: Bellies Acquire Jacob Patterson
Jacob Patterson is returning to the place where he got his Junior A start. The New Westminster Salmonbellies have reacquired the righty from Poco in a move that completes a Future Considerations stipulation from a previous trade.
Patterson was off to his best start in his career with the Saints so far this year as one of team's leading offensive weapons. He has 25 points in 8 games, including 20 assists, good for sixth in the league. He's scoring at a career-high 3.1 point per game clip and has a 10.6% shooting percentage.
He flashed real potential in his first go-round with the 'Bellies, putting up 36 points in 16 games.
The deal completes one made between the two teams earlier this week that saw the Saints trading Lucas Bradley to New West for the Jr. A playing rights of Alex Nimmo.
