Trade Alert: Adanacs add Walker, Peterson
The Coquitlam Adanacs continue to make moves, trading for the playing rights of Tyson Walker and Riley Peterson from the Nanaimo Timbermen in exchange for Coquitlam's 3rd round pick in 2018.
Walker, a left-hander, played for the Burnaby Lakers the last two years, with four assists in 17 games as a transition player. He also has a little faceoff experience, going 5-4 in draws in those two seasons. He was traded from the Adanacs to Nanaimo in 2014 as part of a package for goaltender Peter Dubenski and sniper Brett Hawrys.
Riley Peterson could make a run at the A's roster after spending the last few seasons with the Kamloops Venom in the Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League (TOJLL) as a Jr. B standout. In the 2016 provincial championships, Peterson was third in assists with eight and also scored six goals as the Venom finished fourth. He led the TOJLL in regular season scoring with 38 goals and 57 assists for 95 points.
