TMen add to coaching staff

Nanaimo Junior A Timbermen Head Coach Brad Dougan has added a very familiar face to Nanaimo lacrosse fans to his coaching staff for the 2013 season. Dougan has named Ken Morrison as an Assistant Coach. Ken has spent the last 6 years with the Junior B Timbermen, 5 as a coach and 1 year as a General Manager. His primary role on the Junior A Timbermen coaching staff will be running the offense for the club.

Ken had a very decorated playing career. He spent his Junior A playing career with the New Westminster Salmonbellies before being drafted by the Victoria Shamrocks. He had Senior A stints with both the Shamrocks and Nanaimo Senior A Timbermen. Ken has won 4 President’s Cup Senior B National Championships and in 3 of those wins was named to the 1st All-star team. He is the Nanaimo Senior B Timbermen’s all-time leader in points and still holds the Senior B league record for most goals scored in a 21 game schedule with 61.

The Junior A Timbermen are extremely excited to have Ken on board for the 2013 season as we aim to return to the playoffs and compete for a BC championship.
