Timbermen Announce Head Coach
Nanaimo, BC – The Nanaimo Timbermen Junior A lacrosse team are proud to announce Brad Dougan as their new Head Coach. Brad is a familiar face to Nanaimo lacrosse fans and will look to return the Timbermen to the playoffs for the upcoming 2013 season.
Brad’s coaching experience ranges from Senior A to Intermediate A. His most recent coaching stint came with the Western Lacrosse Association’s Nanaimo Senior A Timbermen in which Brad served as an Assistant Coach in charge of the defence for the past 3 seasons. Brad also had a successful stint as a previous Head Coach of the Nanaimo Intermediate Timbermen where he coached many of the core players on the Junior Timbermen’s roster today.
In his playing days, Brad was a steady defender and played his junior lacrosse for the Victoria Shamrocks where he appeared in a Minto Cup Championship. He was then selected by the Nanaimo Senior A Timbermen in the WLA entry draft where he spent 5 seasons as a defender.
