Tim Dennett steps down as Shamrocks GM; Murray named as replacement

After a long off-season of contemplation, Tim Dennett is stepping down as general manager of the Victoria Junior Shamrocks, but he isn't going very far. Dennett will still be with the program on the bench as offensive coach.

Victoria also announced that current intermediate general manager Wade Murray will take over as his replacement.

Murray will continue to manage the BCILL club in addition to his new duties, but he isn't concerned about a possible increase in his workload.

"We have built a collaborative approach to the Junior Shamrocks program over the last several years," Murray said. "Two of the goals in place are to win the Minto Cup and develop our players through the five year program.

"Tim Dennett continues to be one of the best coaches involved in lacrosse and is a big part of the leadership group."
