Thunder Play Second Straight Game Tonight, Host Lakers

Township of Langley, BC – The Langley Thunder (1-3-1) play their second game in as many days when they host the Burnaby Lakers (1-4-0) at 8:00PM tonight at the Langley Events Centre.

The Thunder were in action last night in Coquitlam for a matchup against the red hot Adanacs. A five-goal effort from James Rahe wasn’t enough as the Thunder fell 12-7 at the Coquitlam Sports Centre. Brett Kujuala led all scorers 8 Points (5 Goals, 3 Assists) and Chase McIntyre netted 6 Points (2 Goals, 4 Assists) for the Adanacs.

Along with Rahe, Thomas Moffat also had 5 Points (1 Goals, 4 Assists) for Langley, while Alex Gibbs and Dylan Lacroix chipped in with 3 Points each.

Coquitlam jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Rahe scored his first of the game to cut it to 4-1 after the first period. The home team kept the pressure on in the second period with six goals to lead 10-2 after two periods. Rahe scored four goals in the third period for the Thunder as they lost their second straight game.

This is the second matchup of the season between the Thunder and Lakers. Burnaby was victorious in their barn on May 1, coming away with a 12-7 victory. Langley was missing a key part of their offense as James Rahe didn’t play in that game due to his university commitment with Robert Morris.

Forward Thomas Moffat is off to a hot start with 18 Points in 5 Games (4th in BCJALL) and Dylan Lacroix has 15 Points (8 Goals, 7 Assists) for the Thunder.
