Surrey and Burnaby atop the League Standings

At the half way point Burnaby (8-1-1) just regained the lead atop the British Columbia Junior A Lacrosse League with a tie and a win against rivals Surrey (8-1-1). The Stickmen had first place since week one. These two teams battle again next Sunday at Bill Copeland Arena.

After a slow start (1-4) Coquitlam has been the hottest team (6-0) beating Burnaby and twice winning against their neighbours in Port Coquitlam (6-5).

The young Port Coquitlam team holds onto 4th place with Victoria (5-5) right behind them.

Victoria’s losses have all come at the hands of teams above them.

Both New Westminster and Delta have four wins. The 'Bellies have beaten the Islanders twice. While the Islanders have beaten teams above them in the standings.

The expansion Nanaimo Timbermen have added some experience to their lineup and hope to capture their first win of the season soon.

The outcomes of every game in the next three weeks are very important to all teams as they the playoff matchups begin forming.
