Tonight the Six Nations Arrows defeated the Whitby Warriors by a score of 13-11. The win was the fourth and deciding game for the Ontario Junior A Finals and cemented the Arrows series sweep, but more importantly a ticket to the 2014 Minto Cup Finals.
An impressive series with a combine four-game score of 44-22, the Arrows dominated in their defensive end. This was made more apparent by the naming of goaltender Douglas Jamieson as Playoff MVP; who took over starting duties in Game 4 of the Ontario Semi Finals. Six Nations will now await the completion of the Western Canadian Finals to see who and where they will meet and travel for the 2014 Minto Cup.
The Western Canadian Finals, best-of-five series between the Alberta Champion - Calgary Mountaineers and British Columbia Champion - Coquitlam Adanacs begins on Thursday August 7th. Game time is 8:00PM at the “Palace on Poirier” (Coquitlam Sports Centre).
