The Nanaimo Junior Timbermen and Victoria Junior Shamrocks squared off in the Fuller Lake arena last night for a pre-season tilt. The game was close in the first period with Nanaimo coming out ahead 3-2.
The Rocks caught fire in the second and took a 6-3 lead into the third with the game ending 8-3.
Leading the way for the Rocks were Veteran Matt Hamilton and Rookie Colten Merilainen with 2 goals each. Next up is the Crowther Memorial game against the Shamrock Alumni, game time 700 Friday night at the Q Centre
Regular season home opener is Saturday April 30, 5:00 at the Q Centre against the Delta Islanders.
