Salmonbellies add Mcneill

by Owen Munro

The New Westminster Salmonbellies have acquired the Junior A playing rights of Connor Mcneill from the Langley Thunder for future considerations.

Mcneill was Langley's 4th overall pick in the 2014 BCJALL Draft and spent time with both the Thunder and the Burnaby Lakers during his BCJALL career. The left-hander, who played his minor box lacrosse career with the Chilliwack Mustangs, had been a call-up for a couple years before being shipped to Burnaby in a trade for Mitch McDole.

Mcneill played 21 games in total last year, including one appearance in the playoffs. He scored 8 goals and 16 points in 20 games with both Burnaby and Langley. He also played some of his best games against the league's top competition. He had a three-point night against Delta and a pair of points against Coquitlam.
