After losing a tight game to Delta last Saturday the Port Coquitlam Saints rolled into the Langley Events Center for the second time this season on Wednesday night. After a pre season match up against the Saints in Chilliwack where the Thunder took the game by a score of 11-6, Poco then spoiled the Thunders home opener in their new building winning 16-12 on April 30th.

A continuing trend with the Thunder is the successful play of their Intermediate call ups. In Wednesday's game Max Weselowski had two shots on goal which he managed to convert, and had five wins and five losses in the face-off circle. Fellow Intermediate Michael Tebbutt threw in two goals as well, and played a persistent, physical, and most importantly disciplined game for the Thunder. Poco got to play their game and for the most part played it very well. They were persistently physical on their forecheck and power play, and took advantage of the goalie switch, something Langley couldn't do.
Next game for the Saints is a battle of the Coquitlams when the A's roll into the Poco Rec Center on Friday and Langley hits the road this weekend to try their luck against the Shamrocks on Saturday at Bear Mountain.
