The Burnaby Lakers and Port Coquitlam Saints have swapped goaltenders ahead of the 2019 BCJALL season. Heading east to Poco is Tyler Pongrancz while Diesel De Guzman becomes a Laker.
Both goaltenders were drafted by their respective teams in the 2017 BCJALL Draft. Pongrancz was the No. 3 overall selection that year, and De Guzman was a mid-third round pick out of Richmond.
Pongrancz played in six games with the Lakers last season, sporting a record of 0-3 with 38 goals allowed on 185 shots, good for a .795 save percentage. De Guzman was listed on the Saints' scoresheet for 20 games and had a 4-1-2 record with 59 goals on 284 shots against for a .792 save percentage.
