Rees, Leclaire Make 2018 Tewaaraton Watch List

Port Coquitlam's Ryland Rees and Delta's Tre Leclaire have both made the prestigious Tewaaraton Award Watch List for the 2018 NCAA Field Lacrosse season. The Tewaaraton Award annually honours the top male and female players in the country.

Leclaire, a Sophomore attackman, has had an excellent campaign thus far, filling the net with 11 goals and 15 total points in five games. He's scored on 55 per cent of his 20 shots on goal this year, and recently came off a strong three-goal performance in a come-from-behind win over the Jacksonville Dolphins.

He's joined by teammate senior defenseman Ben Randall on the list.

This will be Rees' second time making the Watch List after having a breakout Sophomore season that was also highlighted by an All-America East First team nod. The LSM has continued his stellar play in the early stages of the '18 season, despite the Seawolves dropping the first four games on their schedule. Rees has scored two goals on three shots on goal this year and has six ground balls to go with six created turnovers.

Rees will continue to be a player to keep an eye on once Stony Brook turns the corner from a tough start to the season.
