Recap: Opening Weekend

The first weekend of BCJALL regular season play is in the books and lacrosse season is underway!

The Lakers opened with a 10-8 win over the Saints at the brand new Port Coquitlam Community Centre, Matteo Tack was credited with the win with a .840 save percentage.

The Adanacs visited the Shamrocks at The Q Centre in Victoria, with the Shamrocks taking the 9-7 victory and Patrick Dodds pulling ahead in the race for the scoring title with four each goals and assists for a total of eight points on the night,

Delta and Langley held a high-scoring affair at the Ladner Leisure Centre, but Langley took the win with a 19-16 final score. Cody Malawsky, Drew Kask, and Stuart Phillips combined for 25 points for the Thunder.

Nanaimo visited New Westminster and took the victory with a 6-4 final score. Justin Geddie picked up the win having stopped 38 of 42 shots.

Finally, Victoria went to the Langley Events Centre to face off against the Thunder but it was Langley who prevailed with a 7-3 win over the Shamrocks club. Brayden Wandler was credited with the win stopping 44 of 47 shots on the evening.
