New Westminster Sign Peterborough Goaltender

New Westminster Salmonbellies General Manager Harry Ferguson announced that the club has reached an agreement with the Peterborough Lakers of the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League to acquire goalie Craig Robertson.

Robertson has played with the Junior Lakers for the last three seasons and was picked up by the Senior Lakers as their third goalie in their Mann Cup challenge of the Victoria Shamrocks in 2005. He has two remaining years of junior lacrosse eligibility.

Ferguson stated that the Salmonbellies were very pleased to have signed Robertson. “The extensive experience that Craig brings from Ontario will be a great asset for the ‘Bellies. We see that his excellent passing ability will be a very positive addition to the fast breaking transition style lacrosse favoured by Coach Dave Pirog.”
