National Standings | Week 10

No big surprises in the LacrosseTalk national standings this week as far as the west coast teams are concerned. Even with just one match in the last week the Coquitlam Adanacs keep their second spot in the ranks with a 20-5 win over the Saints last Wednesday, and round out their regular season with back to back games this week against the Timbermen and ‘Bellies.

Just one point behind them in the BCJALL standings, the New Westminster Salmonbellies sit one spot below the Adanacs in third place for the national ranks as well. This week the ‘Bellies had two games on their schedule, both against Nanaimo in which they won the first game 7-5 at Queens Park but dropped the game over in Nanaimo by a score of 8-7 which resulted in just their second loss of the season.

Following a three game losing skid the Victoria Shamrocks ended their regular season with a 10-6 win over the Saints which was good enough to bump them up from tenth to ninth spot in the national ranks this week. With the win Victoria secured third spot in the BCJALL standings just one point ahead of the Islanders.

Speaking of Delta, the Islanders received the honourable mention this week in the national rankings following their five game winning streak to end their regular season (11-10). The Islanders picked up six new players at trade deadline, all of which are fitting in very well with their new squad and the Islanders now have quite the wave of momentum heading into the post season.
