Islanders Deal Top 2 Scorers

The Delta Islanders have dealt their top two scorers prior to the July 1 B.C. Junior “A” Lacrosse League roster deadline.

For the second straight year, Ryan Jones is on the move, this time to the New Westminster Salmonbellies. Jones was second in team scoring with 59 points in 18 games, including 21 goals. Last season, he headed east to play for the eventual Minto Cup champions Six Nations. He still has another year of junior eligibility remaining.

Phillips scored three points in his Raiders debut in a win over the rival Mountaineers in Alberta action last night.
