Coquitlam Adanacs @ Delta Islanders - Saturday, June 7 7:30PM
In addition to both teams looking to clinch a playoff spot as we approach the midway mark of the 2014 BCJALL season, this game has more than just two points at stake. With Delta being 7 points ahead of the two Island teams, currently tied for fourth place and the final playoff spot, it looks as though Delta will be in the same company as Coquitlam and New Westminster come this year’s postseason. After dropping one game to Victoria in their last six, Delta is looking to continue their winning ways after a slower than anticipated start to the season. Coquitlam, who recently suffered their first loss of the season to New West, has been able to come out of two close games with wins against Nanaimo and Langley in week 6.
With both teams having a high powered offence, a solid back end and goalies capable of stealing a game it is likely this game will go down to the wire. Coquitlam has the highest number of PIM’s and Delta with the most PPG’s, it is likely Delta’s extremely efficient power play could give them the edge needed to knock off the #1 seed in the BCJALL Saturday.
