What a way to cap off one of the greatest junior lacrosse careers in recent memory. Coquitlam Adanacs goaltender Christian Del Bianco finished his second Minto Cup victory with a massive overtime performance and a bit more hardware to add to the trophy case.

Del Bianco finished the tournament stopping 82 percent of the shots he faced and allowing under 8 goals per game to win both the Jim McConaghy Award as Minto Cup series MVP and the Jim Bishop Award for leadership, sportsmanship and outstanding play. CDB told the Calgary Roughnecks official website that it was an unbelievable feeling to hoist the Cup in the last game of his career.

“It’s pretty awesome, I can’t lie,” beamed Del Bianco at the Max Bell Centre. “Every year it’s such a special group of guys… Watching your best friends hoist the cup is one of the best feelings in the world, I think.”

Congrats to Christian, who's been exemplary as a goaltender and a person during his five-year Junior run.
