Calgary Mountaineers Win Alberta

Last night the Calgary Mountaineers defeated the Okotoks Raiders by a score of 9-6. The win was the Mounties latest in an impressive twelve game win streak. Their only loss of the season came on June 11th to the same Okotoks Raiders. The Alberta Championship capped of an impressive 16-1-1 regular season, 1st in the Alberta standings, with 250 Goals For and 103 Goals Against in those 18 Games.

Calgary will now travel west to play a best-of-five series against the BCJALL Champions in the Western Canadian Finals for the right to represent the West in the 2014 Minto Cup National Championship. The BCJALL Finals is entering Game 6 on Friday August 1 as the Coquitlam Adanacs hold a series clenching 3-2 lead over the New Westminster Salmonbellies. Game time is 7:30PM at the "Palace on Poirier" (Coquitlam Sports Centre).
