(Photo: Wheeling Jesuit Men's Lacrosse Facebook) Wheeling, WV -- Bryce Brochu (Langley Thunder) has been named one of five Captains for the Wheeling Jesuit University Men's Lacrosse program (NCAA DII) for the 2015 season, announced today by Head Coach Kevin Dugan.
A returning starter for the Cards, Brochu led the team last season with 45 Points (33 Goals, 12 Assists) and returns as an ECAC All-Conference selection. As voted on by his teammates, Brochu will serve as a Captain for the first time in only his Junior year. While with the Langley Thunder in 2014 Brochu posted 42 Points (14 Goals, 28 Assists) in 11 Games.
"For as talented and athletic as he is, Bryce Brochu is a really humble young man, which makes him incredibly well-liked and appreciated by his teammates. Bryce is one of those special kids that is pretty impossible not to like" said Dugan. "On top of that, he plays his heart out every second he is on the field and his teammates really see and respect that."
WJU, including other BCJALL players Tyler Buchan (Burnaby Lakers/Langley Thunder), Tyler Wickett (Delta Islanders), and Duston Doudelet (Langley Thunder), conclude their fall practice season this weekend hosting Thiel College, Ohio Valley University, and WJU Alumni in the first ever Jesuit Fall Classic.
