'Bellies Name New Head Coach and Assistant Coach

We are pleased to announce that Todd Stockdale has been appointed the new Jr A Salmonbellies Head Coach for the 2016 season along with Rich Catton who has come on board as Assistant Coach.

Todd, a Richmond firefighter, grew up playing minor and junior lacrosse in Eastern Canada before moving out west to play 11 years of senior lacrosse. During that time, Todd played in three Mann Cup finals as well as five Founders Cup Championships. In 2013 he joined the Coquitlam Adanacs’ senior team as an Assistant Coach before taking over as Head Coach in 2015, where he was named WLA Coach of the Year. He also was an Assistant Coach with the Junior 'Bellies in the late 2000’s. Todd is known for his offensive style of lacrosse.

Rich, who is no stranger to lacrosse in New Westminster, played for the Jr A 'Bellies as well as in the WLA for 15 years and the NLL for 11 years winning championships in both leagues. Rich also played for Team Canada at the World Championships in 2003. Known as a defensive specialist, Rich has also coached minor lacrosse in New Westminster as well as Team BC teams at the National Finals.

The Team will be adding an additional Coach in the near future.
