BCJALL Welcomes Al Lang Back to Fold
The BCJALL is pleased to announce Al Lang is returning to the league executive as the VP Lacrosse Operations. Lang is coming back just a few years removed from being the League Commissioner and will work alongside current President Karl Christiansen to help continue building the BCJALL both on and off the floor.
"I used to run the league before, 10 years as commissioner, but things have changed a bit since I've been away," Lang says. "We've come along more forward into the social media era.
"I know what's expected and I'm looking forward to it. I will talk with Karl about where they want to go, but there's nothing I'm not familiar with."
Christiansen says he's excited to have someone of Lang's experience and pedigree coming back to an executive role.
"When I joined the BCJALL, Al was the person whose opinion I valued. To now be working side by side, I am really excited," Christiansen said.
Lang most recently spent time with the Coquitlam Adanacs Jr. A club as an assistant Governor but was looking for a new challenge moving forward. He was also involved with the recent Minto Cup committee, which was held at the Langley Events Centre this past August.
Lang also brings a wealth of experience as a coach and referee and played his Junior A lacrosse with the New Westminster Salmonbellies.
The BCJALL would like to welcome Al aboard and thank outgoing VP Lacrosse Operations Craig Labranche for all his work the past few seasons.
