BCJALL - Week 2 in Review
Week 2 of the British Columbia Junior A Lacrosse League is now finished and we have three teams tied for top spot. Victoria, Surrey, and Burnaby all have six points with Burnaby and Surrey playing three games and the Shamrocks four.
By an odd quirk of the schedule of the twelve games played so far, there has only been one game between these three clubs. And that was a 10 - 8 win for Surrey over Victoria at Bear Mountain Arena.
The Lakers lead in goals for with 52 and tied with least against (with Surrey) at 15. Burnaby's average win has been by 12 goals but you can expect that to decrease as the season goes on.
The next three teams are also tied, at two points: New Westminster, Port Coquitlam and Delta. Coquitlam and Nanaimo have yet to win in 2005.
Surrey only plays one game this coming week, Thursday night hosting Poco while the Saints play three times, the other two games they host Coquitlam and Nanaimo.
One of the bigger match-ups will be Sunday night when the Lakers host arch rival Victoria Shamrocks at 5:00pm at Bill Copeland Arena.
