BCJALL Releases Results of Player Survey
The BCJALL has released results of a player survey on expanding the age limits of Junior lacrosse in BC. This follows the Canadian Lacrosse Association's decision to bring in a 3-year minor midget program.
The results show a desire on the players' behalf for change. BCJALL Governors announced earlier this week it supports the current initiatives to change Junior lacrosse eligibility to 18-22 years old.
A majority of the responses came from the 19-21 age range, with 21-year-olds leading the way.
The majority of players we surveyed would rather play Junior lacrosse for one more year, rather than move up to the Senior ranks.
As you can guess, BCJALL players are in favour of changing the eligibility age to 22 years old.
Finally, almost every player we polled would still play Junior box lacrosse if that age eligibility was increased.
