Although the top stays stays quo there was some movement in the middle as Burnaby launches up the ladder. Meanwhile Coquitlam stays firmly in the penthouse while New West continues to give everyone they play trouble.

Here's a look at how it all shakes out as of June 13th.

#1. Coquitlam Adanacs (12-2): It's not always dominant or pretty but all the Adanacs do is win games. Currently on a seven game winning streak and with a 12-2 record the purple and gold are so well balanced. With the likes of Jack Charboneau and Jaxon Dillon firing rockets offensively and a strong athletic back gate that boasts Luca Antongiovanni, Remo Schenato, and Ty Banks there is speed to burn. The boys from the palace look well setup for yet another BC crown.

Last week: #1

#2. Victoria Shamrocks (9-5): Despite sizable losses to Nanaimo and Burnaby this past week the Shamrocks remain in the second spot. Suddenly struggling to keep the ball out of their net the 'Rocks have surrendered double digit goals against in five of their last seven games. Pepper and Johannes also need more insulation in the scoring department as well after most of the offense graduated after last season. These next few weeks for Victoria will be crucial as they try to find an identity before the playoffs begin.

#3. Nanaimo Timbermen (7-6): There's something in the water this season on the island as Nanaimo continues to impress. That win in Victoria Tuesday sent a message to anyone who was doubting them that they are in fact a contender in BC. They followed that up with an intense slugfest Saturday at home with league leading Coquitlam before losing in a tight battle 6-5. Yes, they fell to last place Delta Sunday but that's going to happen from time to time over the course of a season especially when dealing with the emotional ebs and flows coming off those two previous games. And thats still a Delta side that can score! Fully expect the Timbermen to be around come playoff time

#4. Burnaby Lakers (6-7): This is the team to watch right now as we near the trade deadline. The Lakers are now 5-2 over their last seven games, a stretch that includes wins over Coquitlam, Victoria, and Nanaimo making up for what was a horrendous start. The offense has been white hot (12 goals/game) during this turn around and the same can be said about Marcus Klarich (36G, 35A, 71P) who leads the BCJALL scoring race by margin. It will be fascinating to see how aggressive the Lakers are at the deadline with a clearly capable roster but still an uphill climb to get into the playoffs.

#5. Port Coquitlam Saints (7-5-1): It's been a rough past couple of weeks for the Saints who started out on a huge winning streak but have since come back down to earth going 1-5-1 over their past seven games. The offense has plenty of size and some heavy shooters from the outside but can go stagnant at times with reduced or slow ball movement. Poco is still a young team that will endure these types of swings. Now the question is will they be able to hold off Burnaby for that final playoff spot as we head down into the final third of the season.

Last week: #4

#6. Langley Thunder (3-8-1): The combination of Stuart Phillips and Cody Malawsky has really stabilized and powered the Thunder of late and their respective returns to the lineup have been paramount. In fact at one point last week, Phillips had recorded a point on 16/20 Langley goals. And don't forget Bailey Vanichuk who is coming off player of the week honours in large part to his constant effort and clutch goals late against Poco. The defense has been relatively reliable for much of the year and if they can get a few more saves in key moments the Thunder could upset some teams down the stretch.

Last week: #7

#7. New Westminster Salmonbellies (3-7): All season long this team has fought, expectations were low for everyone outside of that locker room perhaps but this team has bought in and believed in themselves. Off a win against Delta at home and then a close loss in Coquitlam New West will look to continue their momentum Tuesday at home against another improving side in the Thunder. Management is doing things the right way in New West and it likely won't be long until they are back as contenders.

Last Week: #8

#8. Delta Islanders (3-10): Yes it's been a disappointing season for a Delta side that came in with some prominent scoring power. But one thing you have to like if you're inside the organization is the players don't look to have thrown in the towel. High scoring one goal losses to Victoria and Burnaby as well as a win this past Sunday at home against Nanaimo indicate that Delta is still putting in effort. As Ben McDonald continues his torrid scoring pace Delta will look to play spoiler down the stretch. Also look out for this team come the deadline as it could be a prime target for buyers to come calling as they look to bolster their roster.
