BCJALL in the NCAA: Young Harris College Class of 2018
YOUNG HARRIS, Georgia. – Young Harris College Men's Lacrosse coach Kirk Rogers has announced the program's class of 2018. This will be the largest class in the program's three year history at twenty eight (28) student-athletes with four (4) having BCJALL experience.
"We have been able to pick up some of the best players from our home state [Georgia] as well as develop a pipeline into Canada [...]. This is a really exciting time to be a Mountain Lion and we expect to turn some heads within our region and NCAA Division II this season," said Rogers of the 2018 class.
Additionally, all four players spent time in the local Burnaby Mountain Selects Lacrosse program. "BMS" is an Elite Touring Team program established in 2006 by former BCJALL player Brent Hoskins, with the fundamental objective of preparing student-athletes for a collegiate field lacrosse career.
Chandler Bradley (Hometown: Richmond, BC High School: Matthew McNair Secondary School) Coach Rogers on Chandler: "Chandler is an initiator with blazing speed. He will be a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses."
Jayden Campbell (Hometown: Surrey, BC High School: Frank Hurt Secondary School) Coach Rogers on Campbell: "We think Jayden is one of the best Canadian players in his class. As a late bloomer, he was somewhat overlooked, but he will not be unknown in the lacrosse world for long."
Julian Infanti (Hometown: Coquitlam, BC High School: Centennial Secondary School) Coach Rogers on Infanti: "Julian comes from a championship-level box program. His combination of speed, athleticism and stick skills make him a defensive stalwart and threat in the transition game."
Mitch McDole (Hometown: Maple Ridge, BC High School: Sam Robertson Tech Secondary School) Coach Rogers on Mitch McDole: "Mitch comes as a highly-touted box player from British Columbia. He had a heck of a season in box this summer being named league MVP and leading scorer. He has an unlimited ceiling and will continue to improve as he makes the transition from box to field."
