They may have had a delayed start to the season as the finishing touches to the brand new Coquitlam Sports Centre were wrapped up, but now the Adanacs are playing catch-up to the rest of the league and this week played back to back home games against Delta on Tuesday and Langley on Wednesday.
After defeating the Burnaby Lakers 10-6 on Saturday night Delta was hoping to carry over the momentum against the A’s who stand undefeated so far this season. The Islanders still had some left in the tank and not only managed to draw first blood with Mike Mallory beating Chris Seidel, but at the end of the period had a sizeable 5-1 lead.

Two more goals from Cornwall to complete his hat trick on the night, and one each from Ryan Johnson and Tor Reinholdt would clear the final score at 13-7 for the home squad; giving them their sixth win of the season, good for first place overall with twelve points. Another Adanacs player with an impressive overall performance in these two games was Matthew Dinsdale who not only dominated in the faceoff circle winning 34 and losing only 11, but managed eleven points altogether (3 goals, 8 assists).
