Adanacs win B.C. title

The Coquitlam Adanacs won the third and deciding game of the best-of-five championship series with an 18-8 victory over the Port Coquitlam Saints to capture the BC Junior A Lacrosse League title on Monday Aug. 5.

Leading 4-2 after the first period, the Adanacs had won two close games to open the series but pulled away late in the second period of Game 3.

Ryan Colsey led Coquitlam (5G) in scoring, with five-point efforts also coming from teammates David Charney (3G, 2A) and Nathan Chalmers (2G, 3A), and a three-goal effort from Jaxon Dillon

Anahalihs Doxtator led the Saints (2G, 2A).

Both the Saints and Adanacs are already in the Minto Cup beginning Aug. 17 in Coquitlam. The Adanacs won all seven playoff games in the 2024 post-season, while Port Coquitlam posted a 4-3 playoff record. They will be joined in the Minto Cup by the Ontario champion (Orangeville or Mimico) and Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League champion (Edmonton or Calgary).
