3 STARS: Armstrong off to hot start once again
1ST STAR - DENNON ARMSTRONG, COQUITLAM ADANACS
3 GAMES - 9 GOALS, 8 ASSISTS
Dennon Armstrong is back to what he does best: putting the ball in the net. He's doing it at an even-higher clip than previous years as Coquitlam leans on his goal-scoring touch more than usual. He's met the challenge head on, and he's nothing if not consistent. He had three straight hat-trick games in the past week, pacing Coquitlam to big wins over Delta (x2) and Victoria. Playing in his final year, Armstrong will continue to be a major threat for Coquitlam as they look to march on to another Minto Cup berth. So far, so good on that front.
2ND STAR - NATHAN MCKEIGAN, LANGLEY THUNDER
2 GAMES - 5 GOALS, 2 ASSISTS
Another player in the last year of what's been a great BCJALL career, McKeigan has been a regular contributor for the Thunder since he was drafted by the club. Not only can he put the ball in the net, but he's a guy who loves to play physical and can chip in on both ends of the floor. He has been an instrumental part of Langley's success in the last few seasons and can be relied upon in all situations.
3RD STAR - PATRICK DODDS, VICTORIA SHAMROCKS
3 GAMES - 8 GOALS, 12 ASSISTS
The sheer number of games Victoria has played over the last week meant players like Patrick Dodds could fill the scoresheet a bit. He even did it despite the 'Rocks scoring only five against Coquitlam, chipping in with a goal and an assist in a 13-5 loss.
He was able to fill the net in his other two appearances this week, putting up 10 in a huge win over Island rivals Naniamo before adding another 8-point effort against Burnaby. He currently has 46 points, good for second in the league behind fellow Shamrock Zach Manns (53).
