The inaugural draft will take place:

4126 Norland Avenue

Players eligible for the GraduateĀ Free Agent Midget Draft are all graduated midget players, who in 2006 played for minor lacrosse association with no Junior A team playing in their minor resident area. The only restricted/protected or non-draftable players are those Graduated Midgets who are residents of Junior A teams in the cities of Surrey, Nanaimo, Victoria, Delta, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and New Westminster.

All other Graduated Free Agent Midgets who played through out the province of BC in 2006 are available in the draft.

The draft order was determined by the reverse order of the existing Junior A teams standings in their final 2006 regular season finish.

The inaugural first overall pick goes to the Surrey Stickmen, followed in order by Nanaimo Timbermen, Delta Islanders, Coquitlam Adanacs, Victoria Shamrocks, Port Coquitlam Saints, New Westminster Salmonbellies and Burnaby Lakers.

Each Junior A team can make draft selections to bring their protected list of players up to 40 players. Each teams protected list also includes their returning players and resident protect players that the Junior A teams chooses to protect.

Draft choices may be traded prior to or at the draft by teams who may want future or present players or position themselves for a higher selection.

Each team is allowed 6-8 club representatives at their draft table during the process. The location of the draft allows for a small amount of public viewing if any midget players, or public wish to attend.

Drafted Free Agent Midgets may participate on the Intermediate team supported by the Junior A team that selects them or the drafted player can choose to play on another Intermediate A or B team, or where there is no Intermediate team, on a Junior B team within their area.
